  • How do I become a patient?
Simply call, email, or text our office to schedule an appointment. At that time, we'll provide you with an overview of the process and email you the necessary forms to get you started! Read more about our procedures for new patients here.
  • How much does Chiropractic care cost?
Our fees are simple. New Chiropractic patient exams/consultations are $120. Adjustments are $50 and progress exams are $65. The total cost of care is different for each patient. Every patient at our office is treated individually and therefore, receives a customized care plan specific to their problems and their goals. We believe in transparency and integrity, so a financial plan, with payment options, is part of the Day 2 Report of Findings. We like for everyone involved in care to be on the same page and to have patients know up front what to expect. We do require that initial exam/consultations be paid at the end of the first visit.
  • Will insurance cover my care?
That depends entirely upon your unique policy. BFC is an out-of-network provider which means that we do not work directly with any insurance company. We are able to provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement but do no guarantee coverage. To find out about your specific coverage amounts, call the 1-800# listed on the back of your insurance card and ask about out-of-network policy limits and the claims submission mailing address. All services provided at our office should be HSA/Flex Spending Account eligible.
  • What does it mean to have an adjustment?
Chiropractors correct subluxations. Subluxation is a fancy term for when things don't move like they should, but the adjustment is SO MUCH MORE than putting things back "in place." The adjustment does correct poor motion, but in doing so improves communication and input to the brain. Better connection = better control and coordination of the body = LESS SYMPTOMS! Adjustments can look very different depending on what technique a chiropractor uses to adjust you. Dr. Ballard knows and practices 13 different techniques. Some use an instrument (either Activator or Integrator), some use the table, and some use the hands directly. The bottom line is, we can find a way to adjust you that's effective, safe, and comfortable!
  • How long will it take to meet my goals?
This amount of time will depend on a number of things including the extent of your injury or health conditions, how long you've had the problem, and your commitment to care. Dr. Ballard will give you her best estimate during the Day 2 Report of Findings (read more about that here) We truly expect our patients to notice positive changes quickly and we build care plans (and continually evaluate your progress) to help maximize your results and get the best results possible, but we can only control what happens in the office. The more you stick to the plan, the faster it will be!
  • Are chiropractic adjustments safe for newborns and infants?
They are not only safe, but highly recommended! Dr. Ballard specializes in Pediatric Chiropracic Care and frequently sees children in their first few days of life. We believe in a life fully connected, and for that reason we believe children should be checked as soon as possible after the marathon that is birth, to start life subluxation free and neurologically balanced!
  • What happens during a Functional Medicine Consultation?
Functional Medcine consults actually start before your visit. We ask that all of your information be returned to the office a minimum of 24-48 hours before your visit. Dr. Ballard then reviews and notates your forms, reviews your labs, and reads all of your medical reports/records to maximize your consultation time and really dig in to your history and current problems. Every patient is different. Some leave with a step by step protocol, some leave with a test kit or lab order, but they ALL leave with a plan. You can read more about our Functional Medicine work here! Your first consultation will last about an hour. Follow up consultations time dependent and usually last between 20-40 minutes depending on your needs.
